Local Law Enforcement
Approximately fifty vehicles have been covered with what seems to be human blood in the Germany's town of Hanau near Frankfurt, as reported by authorities.
Automobiles, walls and mailboxes were vandalized, sometimes with prohibited symbols, they stated in a official communication.
Police report they were alerted late on Wednesday, when a resident observed that a automobile in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been marked with a reddish-hued liquid.
The substance had been drawn in the shape of a Nazi symbol, they reported.
Law enforcement then discovered many other smeared automobiles and house walls in the nearby vicinity.
Nazi symbols are banned in Germany under regulations banning the public display of Nazi symbols.
Officials report initial examinations suggest the fluid was probably human bodily fluid.
"There is still no lead as to where it came from; investigators are not yet cognizant of any injuries in relation with the incident," they stated.
Local authorities announced they were attempting "to resolve the case" and have requested to the residents for information.
An important official stated the vandalism left him stunned and had to be addressed quickly.
"This incident strikes at the center of Hanau and reopens the trauma of the extremist violent incident five years ago," he posted on social media, mentioning the death of nine people by a gunman targeting residents of migrant background in 2020.
